VRSh Power Distribution Cabinet

Purpose

  • receiving electrical power from the supply network;
  • distribution of power to outgoing outdoor lighting circuits (street lighting, parking areas, courtyard and road lighting networks);
  • commercial or technical electricity metering (installation of electricity meters);
  • protection of cable lines and connected loads against short circuits and overloads;
  • operational power control (manual switching or automated control).

Applications

The VRSh cabinet is used in outdoor lighting systems for:

  • streets, roads and highways;
  • courtyards, residential complexes and shopping centers;
  • industrial facilities, warehouses and parking areas;
  • parks and recreational zones.

Mechanical Design

  • Configuration: wall-mounted or floor-mounted metal cabinet.
  • Enclosure material: steel with polymer powder coating; stainless steel available on request.
  • Standard color: grey (RAL 7035) or custom color on request.
  • Enclosure protection rating: IP54–IP65 for outdoor installation.
  • Climatic category: U1 / UHL1.
  • Operating temperature range: −40 °C to +40…+50 °C.
  • Door: single- or double-leaf with mounting panel and lock with sealing capability.
  • Cable entry: top or bottom via cable glands or entry sleeves.
  • Mounting options: pole, foundation frame or building wall.

Typical Functional Configuration

The VRSh cabinet may include:

  • main incoming device: switch disconnector, circuit breaker or load break switch;
  • electricity metering unit:
    • single-phase or three-phase meter;
    • current transformers (if required);
    • sealed meter compartment;
  • distribution circuit breakers for lighting groups;
  • protection and switching devices: circuit breakers, RCDs, fuses;
  • control and automation circuits: contactors, timers, photo relays, terminal blocks;
  • voltage presence and line status indication;
  • PE and N busbars with corresponding terminals.

Protection and Safety

  • protection of outgoing circuits against short circuits, overloads and leakage currents;
  • protective earthing of the cabinet enclosure (PE);
  • sealing capability for metering and terminal compartments;
  • compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and technical regulations.

Advantages of VRSh Cabinets

  • centralized intake, metering and distribution of electrical power for outdoor lighting systems;
  • improved reliability of power supply through properly selected protection devices;
  • easy operation and maintenance;
  • flexible configuration depending on project requirements.
